Project Expertise

This was a project aimed at developing a new visual identity for GAST as part of a larger brand overhaul. The goal was to create a logo that reflects the company’s long-standing presence in the air-moving industry while introducing a more modern and competitive visual direction. GAST Manufacturing has been designing air-moving products for over a century, which informed the balance between heritage and innovation in the final design. 


The ideation process began with research and exploration, analyzing industry competitors and identifying common visual themes within the air-moving and industrial space. From there, initial concepts focused on integrating subtle references to airflow, motion, and mechanical precision while maintaining a clean and scalable form.


Logo development centered on refining form, typography, and balance. Iterations explored how to communicate movement and reliability without relying on overly literal symbols, resulting in a mark that feels both grounded in the industry and distinct from competitors. The final direction presents a modernized logo that maintains a sense of durability and legacy while improving clarity, versatility, and visual impact across applications.


Overall, the project highlights skills in brand identity design, concept development, and visual problem-solving, resulting in a logo that positions GAST as both established and forward-looking.
